Jeannine Esser

I have been part of PMPG since 2019 and currently manage our Cologne office as a partner. My focus is on tax and business consulting as well as supporting our clients’ digitalisation and change processes.
In addition, I am involved in leadership development and actively contribute to the further development of our firm’s culture, because I am convinced that sustainable success always begins with people.

I am inspired by the combination of numbers, strategy and humanity. For me, tax consulting means really understanding companies and working together to develop solutions that will help them in the long term. Every client and every project is different, and that is what makes the work so varied. I am particularly motivated when we manage to get to the heart of complex issues.

PMPG is large enough to pool expertise and at the same time personal enough that everyone knows, trusts and supports each other. We combine different perspectives, work on an equal footing and have the courage to do things differently sometimes. Our jeans factor describes this well: we are uncomplicated and pragmatic, both within the team and in our work with clients.

Trust is built through genuine interest and honest communication. I take the time to understand the issues behind the numbers. It is important to me that they leave with the feeling that someone is really listening and thinking along with them.

At the weekend, I look forward to spending time with my family. My two daughters always put me in a good mood and make sure that life is never boring. I love being active in the fresh air, whether it’s running, cycling or going on trips together.
I can laugh heartily at absurd everyday situations and sometimes just at a child’s joke that is so wonderfully illogical that you can’t help it.
