Michael Scherz

I have been with PMPG since February 2013. Today, in addition to PMPG Management Consulting, I also head up PMPG Succession. My focus is on supporting entrepreneurs in their crucial phases: from start-up to investment and financing decisions, corporate restructuring and reorganisation to corporate succession – including valuation and buyer search (M&A). A central element of my work is the analysis of company figures and strategies, as well as the preparation of budget forecasts and the associated preparation of decision-making bases and corporate strategies, and negotiations with credit institutions. My passion is succession consulting; in my view, a well-managed succession is the supreme discipline in business.

I am fascinated by the question of how efficient entrepreneurial action works and how this knowledge can be used in concrete terms to make better, more promising decisions.
What began as curiosity is now my motivation: working with clients to develop solutions that are economically sensible, realistic and feasible. I find it particularly exciting that every company is different, yet many challenges are transferable

It is important to me that clients feel that we take their situation seriously. This includes straightforward, fast and clear communication, as well as advice that is not merely theoretical but creates concrete added value. Clients should always know where they stand and what options they have. This creates trust and a genuine partnership.

At the weekend, I especially look forward to spending time with my family. For me, that’s the most important balance to my working life. I’m also a big sports fan, especially of 1. FC Köln. And as every true fan knows, laughter is part of it, sometimes out of joy, sometimes out of gallows humour.
