Nicole Matzner

I have been part of PMPG since January 2014. I started as a tax specialist, passed the tax advisor exam in 2021 and have been leading one of the three tax teams at our Bornheim office since November 2021. Today, my focus is on comprehensive client support, including advising GmbH & Co. KGs and preparing inheritance and gift tax returns.
In addition, I am responsible for the management and development of my team. It is important to me to combine professional quality with open, appreciative cooperation.

Above all, I am inspired by the variety. Tax consulting is much more than numbers and paragraphs. It combines analytical thinking with communication, responsibility and creativity.
I enjoy familiarising myself with new topics and developing solutions together with clients. The fact that my path into this profession began rather by chance makes it all the more exciting for me today.

For me, the best thing about PMPG is the team spirit. We work together across locations and departments and benefit from an open exchange, both professionally and personally. The wide range of specialist areas enables us to provide interdisciplinary advice to clients and, at the same time, to learn continuously as a team. At PMPG, you are never left alone – neither when it comes to professional challenges nor in your day-to-day work. And above all: here, the focus is on people.

It is important to me that clients feel that we listen to them and really understand their situation. For me, good advice means explaining complex issues in an understandable way and working together to develop practical solutions. Reliability, transparency and openness are crucial in this regard, as they create trust and cooperation on an equal footing.

At the weekend, I look forward to spending time with friends, whether it’s eating together, going on trips, concerts or festivals. Dancing the night away is also part of it for me. I also enjoy spending time in nature or getting caught up in a good escape room game or an exciting psychological thriller ( ).
I can laugh heartily at spontaneous situations and conversations that turn out completely differently than planned. For example, when an attempt to pronounce the US state of Massachusetts correctly ended in a fit of laughter.
